Part One: Find and research an organization that is currently doing work on your narrowed topic and answer the following questions. Answer the questions and fill out the resource log (it is posted on the wiki under Assignments) and post it on your wiki.
What is the organization? This organization is called Care For Children.What exactly are they doing to try and combat or change your issue? This organization that we chose is helping orphaned children try to find families, and help children with distress and sickness. They have already helped up to 2000 children find families. Now with families, and cured distress and sickness, the children are able to go to school and study without anything bothering them. What are some of the things you like about their program? I like how this organization is helping orphaned children. orphaned children cannot take care of themselves and go to school. so with new parents they are able to go to school again. I also like that this organization sent 460,000 RMB worth of food, toys and hygene kits. With all these the people won't have to worry about keeping their children safe and send them to school with ease. What are some questions you have about it? One of my questions is whether this organization is trying to give orphaned children more education while finding their families or not. this website does not explain properly who the founder is, so i want to know who the man is and who he was before he started the organization. another questing i would ask would be how did they raise the 460,000 RMB? This organization does not have a goal writen on their website either, and i hope to find out because then i would be able to decide if i should help or not.How could you become involved with this organization or model your action plan after it? A way people could help this organization may be,donating to this organization and let them take care of the money. or send food supplies, medical supplies or toys, then the children wont need to worry about being hungry or bored. ofcourse adopting a kid would be very helpful, since the organization wants all the children to have a home. What is the organization?The organization i found is called Mercy Corps.What exactly are they doing to try and combat or change your issue?Mercy Corpse is helping the children in Sichuan, who have lost their school from the earthquake have temporary schooling. this way the children wont lose much of the education they were supposed to receive while the schools are being rebuilt.What are some of the things you like about their program?What i really like about their program is, they not only help the children in education. they also support the children with their emotions, this way they can concentrait in class, instead of thinking about a lost ones. Another thing i really like about this organization is that they find places which are safer for the children to play. places close to collapsed buildings are dangerous because you never know if the building will collapse even more or if there is anything sharp and harmful.
